Wow, Six Months!

Dear Family and Friends,

I can't believe I've been a missionary for (almost) six months. Some days are long and some days are short, but overall time is flying by. This week we taught the least amount of lessons I've ever taught since being in Mongolia. I was even a little embarrassed to report such numbers, but this week Sister Nancalmaa and I had some great moments with each other and our investigators that more than make up for it.

My happiest moment this week was probably when Bolganjargal passed her baptismal interview. She has been meeting with missionaries since June. She has such a strong testimony and she's definitely ready to make this important covenant with Heavenly Father. We met with her right before the interview and she seemed worried and nervous. We gave her big hugs and lots of encouragement and sent her on her way. When she came out of the interview she didn't look happy at all and she left right away. From this I really thought that she didn't pass and that we would have to postpone her baptism again. When Elder Anar came out and told us that Bolganjargal could get baptized I could hardly contain my excitement. She will be getting baptized this Friday. Unfortunately, I have an English program to attend that afternoon but I hope that I will make it there on time.

This week we also set baptismal dates for Erdencowd and Dulguun. Yesterday Erdencowd told us that she followed the Word of Wisdom this week. We have been praying for them a lot this week. We talked about the importance of continually following the Word of Wisdom and other commandments in order to be baptized. Their baptism date is set for November 1st.

That's the wrap on our current progressing investigators. I'm really beginning to hate the word "Zawgui" aka. "without time." We have a long list of potential investigators, but they don't have time to meet with us or come to church. This week we called all of the old investigators in our area book. We will be meeting with a few of them this week which will hopefully be a good experience.

A funny moment of the week was when Sister Nancalmaa took some medicine that she claimed was stuck in her throat. She could breath and she could eat so I didn't really understand the problem; however, I preformed the Heimlich maneuver just to make her feel like I cared and wanted to help her. In case you're wondering--it didn't help. :)

Love, Sister Magleby
